Game difficulty.
My biggest problem right now is difficulty I've hit main land and am lvl 17. But I'll be damned if I don't have extreme troubles getting missions done. It is like I die till I hit 60% DP and than wear off enemy. Very cheap and boring. And these are the first missions... I have full group of lvl20 henches (No Assasin) Is it like this for everyone or?

I've heard its this way, seems like everyone is having trouble with it...What most people have said though is that the 7500 armor is the best to get, since it has the best stats and such.

Dang
Tried with real players this time... took a while longer for us to get down to 60% DP but at the end of the day it was same I really hope it was only this mission or I won't be able to play... |

If you're having issues, try buying scrolls and use them while you're in the mission, this will help with recovering from DP.

It sounds harsh to say this but you need to learn how to play the game.
Reflexes, movement, positioning, timing... Using the full potency of the skill combinations... Everything. Last edited by Corinthian; May 03, 2006 at 03:31 PM // 15:31.. |

the learning curve for factions is much steeper than the learning curve for prophecies. i've been playing GW for months now, and i have difficulty with the mainland quests. i shudder to think what first-time players are going through now.

I think the henchies are somewhat to blame as well, heard stories in the guild of this. Haven't had time to play enough to get there yet myself.
Also, the levels come much quicker so Canthan toons are getting to level 20 much quicker than Tyrian toons, so not as much time is spent to get to know how to play the character, find the good builds, acquire skills/elites, etc. |

http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/9930/gw0021ar.jpg Armor is mostly Harbinger's and everything is armor rating 45. You see the weapon. Skills are there as well, in case you don't know them by heart Pain, Shadowsong, Spirit Rift, Brutal Weapon, Animate Brute Fiend, Deathly Swarm, Wampiric Gaze, Bitter Chill P.S. instead of Shadowsong I was thinking of Bloodsong as it steals health, but does it give it to me or does it heal itself? Biggest problem is that I kinda fail to use my spirits, either they are on timer or henches get out of range, but they should be my main weapon... Well I'm more than open for suggestions |

you NEED max armor as soon as possible on the mainland... get it from the exotic crafter in wajjun baazar or the various crafters in kaineng center (north of markeplace) or get collector armor (slightly lower but adequate).
I was playing with our guild team, and one member had an assassin with 'only' 55 AL from seitung harbor.... I play a monk/rit and spent 70% of my energy keeping him alive. It improved dramatically once he upgraded. The AI WILL target you if you have lower than max armor... Also, the henchies SUCK until later, then they only mostly suck |

the game is easy, me and a mate did it with henchies in 2 days after its realise. the assasin is a hard proffesion to master, a bit like the necromacer, and thats probally why your dieing.

I have never really found the game to be even remotely difficult. as long as you just know how to play the character, the neccessary skills (controlling agro, pulling etc....) it's not that hard at all.

For those of you answering this guy with, "its easy" try to answer his sincere questions please instead of arm waving about how leet you are. As this is clearly not one of those stupid questions that calls for a flamestrike (not that I have a problem with that either ). Last edited by lennymon; May 03, 2006 at 08:27 PM // 20:27.. |

here are some tips:
-no matter what character you're using, ALWAYS bring a flatbow. it doesn't have to be a good one. the flatbow has the highest arc and the longest range, which will allow you to pull a group from far away. the high arc will A: allow you time to run back and position yourself better, and B: ensures that the arrow flies over objects. -don't expect to move quickly. especially the ritualist, which relies on positioning spirits. you won't cover alot of ground quickly no matter what you do. forcing it will only result in you being beaten into a pulp. -be on the lookout for alternate paths. the straight and narrow is not always the easiest. this is especially true in the "ghetto" part of the game. there are always alternate paths which you can take advantage of. though they may be longer, they might also be easier for you. |
